Olive Industry Network is proud to sponsor the Inaugural Best Oil of Provenance, a new Award Class offered for the first time in any olive oil competition in Australia, at the revamped 2016 Royal Adelaide Olive Awards competition.
 
 
Entries Currently Open To 
ALL qualifying Australian growers, producers and processors of EVOO.
 
 
Award and Prizes 
We are offering a cash prize of $250, a bronze and marble trophy valued at $140, and a featured listing on Olive Industry Network valued at $110 to the winner.

Top National & Leading International Judges  
and IOOC Olive Oil Tasting Glasses
Australia's leading olive oil judges will sniff, taste and swallow EVOOs to discover which EVOO best reflects provenance and deserves the title.

Judges will - for the first time in any olive oil competition in Australia - use the official IOOC cobalt blue tasting glasses specifically designed for the organoleptic analysis of olive oil.

This year, Australia's leading and well renowned international olive oil judge, Dr Richard Gawel, joins the Royal Adelaide Olive Awards judging panel, led by Head Judge, Trudie Michels. Richard has been Head Judge of over 70 national and international extra virgin olive oil competitions, including the Australian National EVOO & Table Olive Competition, the Los Angeles International EVOO Competition, Olive Japan International EVOO Competition, and Olives New Zealand.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Qualifying Criteria
EVOOs that are :-
 
1 made from olives harvested from a single estate grove  
2 produced under the direction of the grower 
3 sold either under the name of the grower or a brand name exclusively owned by the grower 
 You need to opt for Class 1 and qualify for the above criteria to be eligible for this category.

 
Winner Announced at  the Awards Presentation Dinner
The winner will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner to be held at the National Wine Centre on Tuesday 30 August at 6.30PM. Tickets to attend the event are $85.00 and include a three course meal and a selection of South Australian red and white wines.
