The scope of NASAA's standard covers the organic supply chain – from input manufacturers to producers, processors to wholesale and retail operations - ensuring organic integrity 'from paddock to plate'.

NASAA Certified Organic (NCO)is a fully-owned subsidiary of The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia who provides the certification services.

The expertise that we have developed, and the recognition and regard NCO holds internationally, ensures that you are in the most capable hands, whether your focus is on the domestic market or export trade.

In addition to its domestic accreditation under the Department of Agriculture, NCO was the first Australian certification body to achieve accreditation through the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). NASAA also holds accreditation under the US National Organic Program (USNOP) and Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS).

NCO certification covers some 7 million hectares and over 900 licensed operators. In addition to certifying operations within Australia, NCO is the only Australian certifier with extensive operation overseas, certifying production and processing operations in Nepal, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Samoa, Malaysia, East Timor, Brazil, Solomon Islands and Sri Lanka – comprising over 12,500 small farmers. This international network ensures worldwide recognition for the NASAA label.
